  1. Where is Perry’s located?
            1. Perry’s Diamonds & Estate Jewelry is located at 6525 Carnegie Blvd on the 1st floor of the Roxborough II building. We are across the street from the Dillard’s entrance at SouthPark Mall. 
  2. What are Perry’s store hours?
            1. Perry’s is open Monday – Saturday 10am to 6pm with our last appointment taken at 5:15pm. We generally have extended hours around the holidays and will announce them in late November.
  3. Do we buy gold and silver? What is the process for the buy office?
            1. Yes, we buy gold and silver. One of our 10 GIA Graduate gemologists will evaluate your items in one of our private offices. If you agree on the price, you will walk out with immediate payment.
            2. Some items may be candidates for our consignment program. If your piece is a candidate, a buyer will walk you through your options during your appointment.
  4. Do I need an appointment to shop in Perry’s showroom?
            1. Walk ins are welcome, but you can also schedule your appointment here or by calling us at 704-364-1391 during business hours.
  5. Do I need an appointment for the buy office? Are walk -ins welcome?
            1. Appointments are not necessary, but if you’d like to schedule an appointment, please schedule one here.
  6. How do I make an appointment?

  7. Do you buy gold and silver bullion?
            1. We purchase gold and silver bullion. Please schedule an appointment with our coin specialist when you call us or visit perrysbuyingoffice.com and note what you are looking to purchase.
  8. Do you buy silver-plated items?
            1. Perry’s will recycle your silver-plated items for you and give you $1 per pound.
  9. Do we offer verbal appraisals? What about written appraisals?
            1. If you are looking for a general idea of what an item is worth, we can provide free verbal appraisals from our buy office. Walk-ins welcome but if you have more than 2-3 items, it’s helpful to make an appointment.
            2. If you are looking for a full written appraisal for insurance or estate purposes, please let us know when you call or you can schedule your appointment online here.
  10. What is the cost for a written appraisal and how long does it take?
            1. As of January 2024, full written appraisals are $125 per item. If your item does not contain any diamonds or gemstones (all gold, silver or platinum), the appraisal is $75 per item.
            2. Depending on the detailing of your item and/or the size, appraisals are generally available for pickup in 3 days. Exact turnaround times will be confirmed at drop-off.
            3. Day-of appraisals are possible but will incur an additional charge to be determined at time of drop-off.
  11. Do you have an on-site appraiser?
            1. Please schedule your appointment here or by calling 704-364-1391 during store hours.
  12. Do we buy and sell preowned designer handbags?
            1. We accept several brands of designer handbags in excellent to good preowned condition. All bags are authenticated prior to purchase and each handbag purchased from Perry’s comes with a certificate of authentication.   13. What forms of payment do we accept?
            1. We accept all major credit cards as well as cash, certified checks, and personal checks with government issued identification.
  14. Does Perry’s offer layaway?
            1. Yes, we offer layaway. 20% deposit is due at time of purchase and the balance is to be paid out in 4 additional monthly payments via automatic draft. If you wish to pay it off early, just let us know!
  15. How do I find out about your upcoming events?
            1. Please follow Perry’s at both Facebook and Instagram for the most up-to-date information or feel free to sign up for our newsletter for the newest inventory updates as well as event invitations.

  17. Can you resize or repair jewelry not purchased at Perry’s?
            1. Generally, yes! When you come in, we will have one of our jewelers take a look at your items and determine the right size and if it can be repaired. Occasionally there are situations where we do not recommend repair due to the fragility or condition of an item, but a jeweler will discuss this at your appointment and will provide a recommended course of action.
  18. Do we repair watches? Can we remove/replace links for a watch?
            1. We currently offer watch battery and watch band adjustments in-store. We do not currently provide any other watch repair services.
  19. Do we re-string pearls?
            1. Yes! Please bring your pearls in and one of our sales associates will facilitate this for you.
  20. Do we clean jewelry not purchased at Perrys?
            1. We do! One of our highly skilled sales associates will take a look at your jewelry under the microscope and check for any cracks or chips prior to our thorough deep cleaning and alert you of any issues that may arise prior to cleaning.
  21. Do we have earring backs available for purchase? Watch bands?
            1. Yes! Please see the front desk or your sales associate.
  22. Do you purchase ivory, crystal or fine art?
          1. We do not purchase or appraise antique furniture, ivory, crystal, or fine art at this time.
